Barcelona and Real Madrid performed with their best strength. Both teams played with the composition of the core players. In fact, this match doesn’t look like a pre-season match where the players are more after physical fitness than results.
Barcelona played effectively in attack in converting opportunities. Three goals were created from 12 shots released. The three Barcelona goals were scored by Ousmane Dembele (15′), Fermin Lopez (85′), and Ferran Torres (90+1).

The Barcelona vs Real Madrid duel cannot be called pre-season. Because the tension of the match was very high with several violations and commotion that occurred on the field.
In total, there were seven yellow cards that came out of the referee’s pocket. Typical El Clasico match in the regular season.
Some commotion ensued. In the first half, there was a tackle by De Jong on Tchouameni which sparked a commotion among the players. De Jong makes a tackle from behind. Then, there was Alaba’s tackle that sent Araujo crashing to the ground. In total, there were 33 tackles that occurred. 13 by Barcelona, 20 by Real Madrid.

Apes or Need Attacker

Real Madrid failed to score against Barcelona. In fact, they have many opportunities. Real Madrid took 29 shots throughout the game!
There are three points of view to see the condition of Madrid’s attack line. First, Madrid really needs a new striker because Rodrygo has not been able to become a regular goalscorer.
Second, Real Madrid is just unlucky. Because, there were five opportunities for them to hit the goal and one missed penalty. Third, Carlo Ancelotti’s 4-4-2 diamond formation is indeed immature so that Madrid’s attacks are not yet effective.

Keep it up Dembele, Barca!

The match against Real Madrid was an alarm for Barcelona not to let Dembele go. Because the French player performed well and spread many threats against Madrid.
Currently, Dembele is in PSG’s sights. There is a release clause with a value of € 50 million in Dembele’s contract and PSG are ready to pay it. However, Dembele has yet to give the green light for the transfer.
Dembele is included in Xavi’s plans. It’s just that, his contribution was never optimal because of frequent injuries. Meanwhile, Dembele’s contract with Barcelona will expire on June 30 2024 and this summer is the last chance for Barcelona to get money from Dembele’s transfer.

Ancelotti has prepared regeneration in midfield. Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Bellingham were the masters in midfield. They play quite stable, although not consistent.
Madrid looks still need a leader in midfield. Without Luka Modric, especially in a trailing position, Madrid’s midfield often rushes and loses control.
Modric is still competitive. Played in the 58th minute, Modric made a big impact for Madrid even though in the end he failed to bring Madrid to score or equalize.

Can Forget Busquets?

Sergio Busquets has been an important pillar of Barcelona’s midfield for many years. This season, there is concern that Barcelona will be unsteady after the 35-year-old player moves.
