I Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Compagnia di Bracciano arrested a 49-year-old Italian seriously suspected of laundering of stolen vehicles and illegal possession of weapons.
Following a location signal from a tablet left on board a motorbike stolen in Rome, he allowed the Carabinieri to intervene near the man’s home, in Bracciano, finding the motorbike in question which he was dismantling some mechanical parts and of bodywork.
During the search, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Bracciano Company also found and seized another 5 motorcycles and seven motorcycle license plates, which were found to be stolen between May and June 2023 in the capital; a rifle, a pistol and some cartridges, all held illegally.
The 49-year-old was arrested and placed under house arrest, pending the validation hearing.
It should be noted that the suspect is to be considered presumed innocent in consideration of the current phase of the proceeding – preliminary investigations – up to a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
