Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp gets one of his dream players. According to media reports, the transfer of Argentinian soccer world champion Alexis Mac Allister (24) to the Reds is to be officially announced this week after passing the medical check-up. Accordingly, the English Premier League club and Mac Allister have agreed to work together. The contact between Liverpool and Brighton has already taken place, as reported by the “Times”, among others.

According to the media, Liverpool benefits from the 24-year-old’s exit clause, the transfer fee should be between 53 and 64 million euros. Mac Allister would be the first signing of the Klopp team, which has only qualified for the Europa League in fifth place. The Argentine extended his contract in Brighton to 2025 last October. In early 2019, the midfielder moved from his South American homeland from Argentinos Juniors to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League for eight million euros. After a one-year loan to Boca Juniors, he made his Seagulls debut in March 2020 and has made 112 appearances, scoring 20 goals.

Real are interested in Bayern’s Davies

As the Spanish sports newspaper “Marca” reports, Real Madrid has contacted FC Bayern to negotiate a transfer from Alphonso Davies. Real would like to fill the left-back position. Ferland Mendy, who has been set there so far, recently had many health problems, which apparently also caused contract negotiations to fail.

Bayern would actually like to keep Davies. Most recently, however, he rejected the verbal extension of the contract, which currently runs until 2025. The reason for this is the unrest in the club surrounding the expulsion of former CEO Oliver Kahn (53) and former sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (46).

Will Serdar return to Mainz?

After relegation with Hertha BSC, midfielder Suat Serdar is looking for a new club. According to information from “Kicker”, two clubs in particular are interested: Mainz 05, where the 26-year-old began his professional career, and the Turkish champions Galatasaray Istanbul.

Walter should remain coach of HSV

Tim Walter should remain coach of Hamburger SV even after the failure in the relegation. “Of course” Walter will stay, said sports director Jonas Boldt after the 1: 3 in the second leg against VfB Stuttgart on Monday evening. “We have built a foundation that is very good for the club.”

The 47-year-old Walter, whose contract runs until the summer of 2024, said on Sky: “We’re not giving up, I’m extremely proud of my team.” After the two defeats, the club has to go into its sixth season in the second division . “We fall down, but we don’t stay down, we get up again,” said Walter. “I have a year left on my contract, I get along really well with Jonas and we’ve built something here.”
