Diedrick was drafted in the third round (24th overall) in 2002 by Edmonton. Skipped in the 2003 NFL Draft, he spent the next two seasons with San Diego, Green Bay and Washington.
He won the first of his three Gray Cups in his rookie season with Edmonton in 2005.
He moved to Montreal the following season and stayed there until the end of 2012, adding two more Gray Cup rings in 2009 and 2010.
After a brief stint with Hamilton in 2013, he returned to the Alouettes for the final season of his career in 2014.
In 130 career CFL games, he had 872 yards and 6 touchdowns on 179 carries.
