A martial arts discipline that in Bolzano has managed to carve out a place in the sun at a national level, thanks to the over 120 athletes of the Acras competitive and amateur judo team.
“In our gym we teach above all to accept defeats, to get up again” explains Enrico Rizzo, judo master, Acras company.
Get up but also win. Giovanni Zaraca from Bolzano recently won silver in the 73kg category at the national university championships.
The other spearhead of the company is the little more than twenty Riccardo Bertolini, national vice-champion in the 90 kg category. “Since I was a child I was in love with sport, with judo it was love at first sight, I never stopped training” explains the athlete.
A sport that builds character and teaches respect for the opponent. Also suitable for younger children, due to its educational function. “Our motto is: we never lose, we never win or we learn” concludes Maestro Rizzo.
