Second place was taken by Madara Palameika, who threw the javelin 56.68 meters in her last attempt. Two more shots were further than 55 meters for her.

Sanija Ozoliņa completed the top three in the competition of six javelin throwers, achieving the best result of 50.21 meters in the first attempt.

Strobinder won the men’s competition with 79.22 meters achieved in the second attempt. In the first attempt, his javelin flew 75.61 meters, in the third – 77.42 meters, but the next three passes were not counted.

The second was Jānis Svens Griva, who threw the tool 75.41 meters in the third attempt, before that he made throws 69.48 and 73.91 meters away. The third place was taken by Ansis Brūns, whose second 70.51 meters was the best of the five successful attempts.

The traditional competition “Ventspils spears” took place this year for the 42nd time.

In 2022, Mūze won for women, but Patriks Gailums was superior to his competitors for men.
