The Men’s Tennis Leopards of DRC Promoted to Group 4 After Playoffs in Kinshasa

The men’s Tennis Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are promoted to group 4 after the playoffs of this tournament. The latter took place in Kinshasa from 21 to 24 June.

The Congolese beasts got the better of the Barea of Madagascar during the promotion Play Offs. It all started badly for them because Christian Saidi, the reigning Congo champion, lost the first match to Fenosoa Rasendra (5-7/2-6). Hope returned during the 2nd match which saw William Bushamuka win against Lucas Andriamasilalao (6-2/6-3) and in doubles that the Leopards punched their ticket with the pair William Bushamuka and Sarma Nkulufa who won took over from Lucas Andriamasilalao and Nicolas Raharivony (6-2/6-1).

It is a big victory for this national team after the African Cup of Nations in 2015 and the gold medal at the African Games in 2016, in particular thanks to the own efforts of the federal committee led by engineer Georges Koshi Gimeya. The next step will be to keep this place in group 4 next year.
