Sulimar Cabrera, the only Canarian among the thirty “promises” of national badminton

The player of the Tenzul El Rosario Badminton Club, Sulimar Cabrera, will be part of the thirty young promises Under-13 and Under-15, from twelve Autonomous Communities, who have been selected for the national technical concentration “Wanted Champion” (SBC ) of the Spanish Badminton Federation

The Rosariera player will represent the Canary Islands in this concentration, which brings together the best national rackets and where they will work with the director of the SBC and head of National Teams, Ernesto García. It will be held in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, from June 25 to 28.

The SBC is the main national project for the recruitment of talents and for the development of the technology of badminton players at an early age, as well as coaches. It should be remembered that the SBC marked the beginning of Carolina Marín’s brilliant badminton career, when the current Olympic champion and three-time world champion was only 12 years old.

Likewise, a select group of very high-level coaches is participating, where Ángel Iglesias, coach of the management team of the Canary Islands Badminton Federation, has also been summoned, who will accompany the El Rosario player in said concentration.
