In the first of the three challenges at the “Steno Borghese” il Neptune 1945 beats 4-0 i New Black Panthers. A two-run home run by Matthias Mercuri (2 RBI) at the start of the match paves the way for the hosts who, supported by the excellent performance on the mount of Liguori (only 2 hits allowed in 7 innings pitched), they score two more runs, one in the third and one in the sixth inning. In Senago, Fortitudo’s offense practically gave no respite to the home defense, making itself felt in every inning, dominating the game and recording 20 valid hits (against 2 by Tecnograniti). In Parma, on the other hand, two innings (third and sixth) were enough to direct the match and guarantee the victory of the home team against the Grosseto side. Two 3-run home runs, the first by Mineo (third inning) and the second of Joseph (sixth inning) and the ducal team confirmed their provisional second place in the group, arm in arm with Unipolsai Bologna.
