The German show jumpers took third place at the Nations Cup in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The Netherlands won.
The team with Jana Wargers (Bocholt/Belgium) on Dorette, Kendra Claricia Brinkop (Wolvertem/Belgium) with In Time, Hans-Dieter Dreher (Eimeldingen) with Cous Cous and Marcus Ehning (Borken) in the saddle of Priam du Roset just had to get together beaten by the Netherlands and Ireland.
Wargers, in particular, showed good rides and remained flawless in the first round. Brinkop was able to do that in the second round. Marcus Ehning, on the other hand, did not have a good day. The 49-year-old did not finish both laps after several downs. Overall, the team came up with 24 fault points. Because of the better times, the Germans stayed ahead of the French, who were tied on points.
The show jumping in Rotterdam was the third event in the series. Previously, the German team had also finished third in St. Gallen in Switzerland and Sopot in Poland. The final will take place on October 1st in Barcelona, Spain.
