The DFB is becoming more female!
The national team is currently preparing for the upcoming friendly international matches against Ukraine, Poland and Colombia on the DFB campus. With a still unknown face on the supervisory staff: Lena Aschenbrenner (33) from the athletics team. She is actually in action with the DFB juniors. However, it is quite possible that Aschenbrenner will remain with the senior national team and national coach Hansi Flick (58).
Aschenbrenner has a lot of experience. Since July 2021 she has been working as a physiotherapist (“Prevention and performance physiotherapist”) at Liverpool FC, where she also sat on the bench with coach Jürgen Klopp (55) during games.

By the way: Aschenbrenner is not the only woman on the DFB team. Franziska Wülle (30) has been the national team’s press officer since September. In March, Dr. Silja Schwarz (48) team doctor Prof. Dr. Tim Meyer (55), who broke up after 21 years.
