London roster official: Havertz moves from Chelsea to Arsenal

Twenty-four-year-old German striker Kai Havertz has become another Chelsea player who will be wearing another club’s jersey for the following season. For a total of 65 million pounds, he was called to their ranks by the city competitor and the current vice-champion of England from Arsenal. He confirmed a long-term cooperation at the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners did not specify the exact length of his contract.

In total, Havertz has made 139 appearances for the Blues and scored 32 goals over the past three seasons across all competitions. The German representative came to London from Leverkusen in September 2020 for 80 million euros, now his transfer price is ten million less. Arsenal started discussing the possible transfer of the player about two weeks ago, and the agreement between all interested parties was then reached relatively quickly.

The Aachen native said goodbye to fans with a heavy heart on social media. “Many thanks for all your support, we fulfilled our dream and won the Champions League together,” he recalled, among other things, the greatest success he recorded in the Chelsea jersey in 2021. In an interview for the club’s website, he then stated that his goal is to win more trophies in new environment.

Havertz is already the fifth player to leave Chelsea in a relatively short time. She continues to boldly sell out, even this transfer was not completed overnight and was in the final a planned event. N’Golo Kanté, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovačič and Édouard Mendy have already left Stamford Bridge permanently.
