LÉCB – Basketball: A fourth straight loss for the Alliance

The Montreal Alliance fell into the trap before the worst team in the Canadian Elite Basketball League on Sunday in a 104-72 loss to the Scarborough Shooting Stars at the Verdun Auditorium.

Scarborough (2-4) went 11 straight in the first quarter and the Shooting Stars carried that quarter’s momentum throughout the game to earn a comfortable victory.

Blake Francis and Treveon Graham were the most productive players for Montreal with 23 and 22 points respectively. The rest of the team could only generate 23 points in total. On the Scarborough side, four players scored 10 or more points. Cat Barber led the team with 25 points.

The Alliance (2-4) had a difficult game on the floor with only 36% of successful shots, including 23% from behind the three-point arc. The visitors shone on this facet with 51% of successful three-point shots.

This is the fourth straight loss for the Alliance, which started its season with two wins.
