Latina, rapes his pregnant wife and beats her with a baseball bat: Indian arrested

LATINA – From Latina comes another story of violence against women that makes you shiver. On Tuesday 6 June, in the Pontine capital, the police arrested and imprisoned a 35-year-old Indian on charges of ill-treatment and sexual violence against his wife. In fact, after years of violence and harassment, both physical and psychological, the woman took courage and, at the end of May, she denounced the man. In the lawsuit, the woman reported that the situation has continued since 2016, the year in which the two (both of Indian origin) got married, listing a long series of harassments: the obsessive control of her cell phone and her every movement, the ‘use of insulting and denigrating epithets and violent attacks also occurred in front of the minor daughters. The violence would also have occurred during the two pregnancies and the woman would have been forced by force to have sexual intercourse; at each refusal of her, she would be hit with kicks, slaps, punches and even with a baseball bat. The findings acquired through the hearing of the victim’s brother and the acquisition of medical reports and photographs certifying the injuries suffered, therefore, allowed the local Public Prosecutor’s Office to request and obtain the precautionary measure of custody in prison. The man was traced to the farm where he works as a laborer and, at the end of the ritual acts, he was accompanied to the Latina prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
