The Iserlohn Kangaroos are happy about the extension of Samuel Mpacko’s contract, the 25-year-old will also play for the Waldstadt team in the BARMER 2nd Basketball Bundesliga next season.
The fast-paced guard came to the Kangaroos from Düsseldorf before the past season and was able to convince with strong scoring and good defense in his first season in Iserlohn. Due to injuries in the team, Mpacko had to play more often in the point guard position, which he was not used to, but showed his adaptability and impressed with good performances.
In his first season in the Kangaroos outfit, the shooting guard averaged 12.8 points and 3.1 assists per game while also having the second-most minutes on the team. Mpacko is an agile player with excellent ball handling, who can rarely be calculated both with a drive to the basket and with a 3-pointer for the opponent.
In addition to his skills as a scorer, he also has playmaker qualities and cuts a fine figure on the defensive with 1.5 steals per game. Despite his height of 1.87 meters, he also has an impressive jumping ability, which means that he already provided a number of highlights at ring level in the past season.
