Rocha was reinforced after the joint statement from UEFA and FIFA, published this Thursday, in which disavowed the Government of Spain in its intention to create a Supervisory Commission that lacked legal coverage.

Pedro Rocha took over as interim president of the RFEF after FIFA temporarily suspended the previous president, Luis Rubiales. Subsequently, he took charge of the management committee when Rubiales himself presented his resignation on September 10.
