Horror accident at the Ironman in Hamburg: a motorcyclist drove into a cyclist there on Sunday morning. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Tragic accident at the Ironman in Hamburg: There, on Sunday morning, the driver of an escort motorcycle collided head-on with a cyclist at around 8.45 a.m. during the race. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The cyclist was seriously injured. Like the cameraman who was sitting on the motorcycle, he was taken to a hospital.
The accident happened on a straight stretch on a dike. The collision occurred for unknown reasons. A little later, there were absurd scenes when participants carried their bicycles over the dyke to the scene of the accident. The triathlon initially continued.
Ironman in Hamburg: Live reporting canceled after an accident
Numerous rescue workers and a rescue helicopter are in action. ARD and NDR ended their live reporting after the accident.
