Udoka, 45, signed in late April as the Rockets’ new head coach, replacing the dismissed Stephen Silas. In his only season in charge of Boston he posted a 51-31 record, reaching the NBA Finals where he lost to Golden Sate 4-2.
A little more than three months after the end of the season, he was separated from the Celtics discipline for having an inappropriate relationship with a franchise employee. Later Joe Mazzulla temporarily replaced him at the head of the Celtics, finally promoted as head coach.
