Harrison Barnes Re-Signs with Sacramento Kings for Three Years and $54 Million

Harrison Barnes has reached an agreement to continue with the Sacramento Kings for three years and 54 million dollars, as he has announced to ESPN his agent, Jeff Schwartz.

In this way, the franchise ensures to keep its starting lineup from the last contest since De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis are also under contract. In 2022-2023, the team qualified for the playoffs after 17 years of absence.

Barnes has been left out of free agency that will begin on Friday, June 30, in which he was one of the most sought-after forwards on the market. The Utah Jazz, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers emerged as strong candidates to add him in the offseason.

In his 11th NBA appearance, Barnes has started every regular-season game. In his 82 games, he posted 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and a 55% 2-point shooting percentage, the second highest of his career.

The 31-year-old player, who won the championship in 2015 with the Golden State Warriors, will uniform for the sixth consecutive time with Sacramento in 2023-2024, a team he joined in 2019 from the Dallas Mavericks.
