In the tie-break, Altmaier shows unusual weaknesses and quickly falls behind by 0:5. Sinner now plays much more aggressively from the baseline and puts the German under pressure. In addition, there is the good serve of the South Tyrolean. Despite a good performance in set one, the passage goes to Sinner. In the tiebreak it becomes clear (0:7) against the number eight of the tournament.

1:43 p.m.: Sinner – Altmaier 6:6

The tiebreak begins in the first set. Altmaier is in no way inferior to his opponent and equalizes repeatedly. At the beginning of the game, the German has his back to the wall. A double fault leads to 0:30. Nevertheless, Altmaier remains aggressive and forces Sinner to make mistakes. The result is the equalization to 6:6. Now it’s time to stay focused in the tie-break.
