FC Bayern is looking for a real nine, a goal guarantee, like Robert Lewandowski (34), who switched to FC Barcelona last summer. The Pole, who has been incredibly accurate for many years and whose loss FCB was unable to compensate for last season, is the benchmark against which potential successors on Säbener Straße have to be measured.
A player who stands for many goals is Tottenham captain Harry Kane (29). With 213 goals, he is the second-best goalscorer in Premier League history behind Alan Shearer. But as with other candidates of this quality class, there is a lot of competition on the transfer market. Real Madrid and Manchester United are said to have increased interest in the English international.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen (24) is also in great demand, scoring the former Maradona club for the first Scudetto in 33 years and becoming a Serie A capocannoniere with 26 goals. Dusan Vlahovic (23, ten league goals 2022/23) from Juventus Turin is a name that keeps coming up.

The Munich side have had good experiences in the past with goalscorers who have already been tried and tested in the Bundesliga – not least with Lewandowski. Such would be the French vice world champion Randal Kolo Muani (24) from Eintracht Frankfurt (15 goals and 16 assists in the past season) as well as Bundesliga top scorer Niclas Füllkrug (30) from SV Werder Bremen. The German national player secured the kicker top scorer of the 2022/23 season with 16 goals.
