The Municipal Sports Area of the Almuñécar City Council has been celebrating, during this month of June, the closing of the Municipal Schools of the 2022/2023 season with the delivery of diplomas and trophies to almost a thousand sexitan athletes from the 16 sports schools with which Almuñécar counts.
The municipal school that has had the largest number of participants has been kenpo with more than 200 students, followed by football and handball. Other notable schools, and which have also increased the number of participants compared to the previous season, have been the schools of basketball, BMX, athletics, chess, paddle tennis, volleyball, table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming, badminton, judo, tennis, paddle tennis and cycling.
The Councilor for Sports, Luis Aragón, accompanied by the heads of each of the sports activities, was in charge of delivering the diplomas to the students, as well as congratulating them “for the skills demonstrated and acquired during the season”, concluding the closing acts with the corresponding family photo together with the coaching staff and athletes.
