Challenge tour Andalucia Hutsby wins in play-off against Sale

At the end of an improbable scenario, and in particular a disputed play-off with six players, Sam Hutsby won on Sunday in the fourth round of the Andalucia Challenge, in Cadiz, Spain. Julien Sale could have believed in a victory.

Yet he had held on all day. Joined for a time at the top of the classification by Manuel Elvira and Sam Hutsby, then put under pressure by Jesper Svensson and Nicolai Kristensen, Filippo Celli, in the lead at the end of the third lap, had apparently succeeded in repelling the many attacks of its competitors, Sunday, during the fourth round of the Andalucia Challenge, in Cadiz (Spain). However, the 22-year-old conceded two bogeys (4 in all, for 4 birdies) on 17 and 18. The Italian therefore fell to -15 in total, tied with five other players: Sam Hutsby, co-leader Friday evening, Nicolai Kristensen, Jesper Svensson but also Julien Sale and Clément Berardo.

The two tricolors had a magnificent fourth round in Cadiz. Julien Sale quite simply returned the best card of the day (66, 6 birdies), while Clément Berardo, after a solid first leg (1 birdie, 1 bogey), made a superb comeback (2 birdies, 1 eagle on hole number 16). The French and their four opponents then took the direction of 18 to decide in the play-off. Julien Sale and Sam Hutsby were then the only ones to birdie.
