The CB Ciudad Real puts the finishing touch to a period of more than thirty years of existence and has done so with an act in which they have presented a special 30th Anniversary edition of the magazine ‘Un pasa +’ and with the delivery of trophies to the honorary members of the ‘Colosos del Baloncesto de Ciudad Real’ team.
The president of the Ciudad Real club, Santiago Amores, highlighted in his speech that “they have been years of hard work, seasons of promotions and permanence, of necessary changes, but we have always moved forward because we are passionate about basketball.”
The ‘Colossus of Ciudad Real basketball’ gala began with the projection of an institutional video, although one of the most emotional moments of the evening has arrived, with the appointment of honorary members: José Molina Cabildo, Enrique Evangelista, Antonio del Valle, Antonio Víctor Rivas, Esperanza Sánchez, Alberto Almodóvar, José María López, Emilio Pérez Pizarro, and Lucas Fernández. Plaques have also been delivered to the sponsors who have contributed to the achievement of the objectives set.
Basketball festival that has had the presence, among other authorities, of the Mayor of Ciudad Real. Francisco Cañizares highlighted ‘the achievements achieved in these more than thirty years of life of CB Ciudad Real’, and applauds the decision to merge with Basket Cervantes to face new challenges, emphatically stating ‘that this is not an end, it is a point and followed’.
The ‘Colosos del Baloncesto de Ciudad Real’ gala was held at the Casa de la Ciudad and was enlivened by Teresa Cherino.
