The Boston Celtics have acquired Kristaps Porzingis in a complex three-team trade with the Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards, reports ESPN.
In addition to receiving Porzingis through the Wizards, the Celtics got first-round picks in 2023 (25th overall) and 2024 from Memphis.
Marcus Smart makes his way to Memphis, as the Wizards get Tyus Jones from the Grizzlies.
In addition, Washington obtains Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala and the 35th choice of the 2023 auction of the Celtics.
The Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have all been involved in trade talks to send Kristaps Porzingis to Boston, Shams Charania, of The Athletic.

He spent the next three seasons in Dallas alongside Luka Doncic, but didn’t quite live up to expectations. The Mavs in turn traded him to the Wizards at the 2021 trade deadline.
A native of Liepaja, Latvia, Porzingis was named to the All-Star Game once and made the All-Rookie Team at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Marcus Smart has spent the past nine years with the Celtics and ranks fourth all-time in the organization in steals (914). Only Paul Pierce, Larry Bird and Rajon Rondo have more.
