Biéville-Beuville. An exceptional vintage this season among judokas

The Judo Club Biéville-Beuville (ASJBB) association, in Calvados, closed its season on Saturday June 10, 2023, at the dojo in the multi-activity room, with the presentation of belts to young judokas by their teacher Adrien Copado. “This is a record year for the club, which has registered 49 members, aged 4 to 9 this season”, rejoices Cécile Tardif, president. There will therefore be, from the start of the school year, a need to set up three well-distributed courses, at the same time for the large (15), the medium-large (15) and the small (19). “We are also recording an increased mix with 7 girls and 42 boys”underlines the president.

After nine years at the club, coach Adrien Copado is leaving

Arrived at the club in 2014, Adrien Copado, junior French champion in 2012, had taken over from Cédric Bonvalet to provide supervision for young judokas on Saturday mornings. Saturday June 10, 2023, Adrien Copado gave his last lessons in Biéville-Beuville before the new belts were awarded to young people. “I could no longer provide lessons at Biéville-Beuville, being too busy with my club, the Avant-Garde Caennaise. But, I will try to come back to Biéville-Beuville to see the evolution of the young people.indicate Adrien Copado.

If the ASJBB regrets the departure of Adrien Cpado, it is delighted with the arrival at the club of Fabrice Marie. Originally from Caen, Fabrice Marie started judo at the age of 5 at the Caen Avant-Garde. “I have been teaching judo since 1982. I am one of the first state graduates in France”specifies the judoka.

For the children of the club, Fabrice Marie is no stranger, since he has provided training for the last five weeks, alongside Adrien Copado. All these young judokas will find their new coach at the start of the school year in September.
