Defending champion and championship leader Francesco Bagnaia also won the main race on Sunday after the sprint at the Italian GP in Mugello and extended his lead in the championship standings.
The 26-year-old Italian led a Ducati quadruple win at home, beating out Spain’s Jorge Martin and France’s Johann Zarco.
The Spaniard Daniel Holgado won the Moto3 race. After a gripping pentathlon, the KTM rider prevailed over his Turkish brand colleague Deniz Öncü (+0.051) and the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna/+0.056) and extended his championship lead.
