Alessia Esposito on the top step of the podium in the 33rd Genoa City of Colombo Trophy, valid for the Cadet Ranking List

The following day, some Unisport rookies, selected by the Regional Team to compete in the 33rd Genoa City of Colombo Trophy, compete as Piedmont instead of as a club in their respective categories, with Regional Technical Director Laura Zimbaro and their master Alessandro DiGianni, technician also of the Regional. A very nice experience for the guys, no doubt about it.
For Beginners A, the “gentle giant” Robert Hartescu comes first in the 66 kg, while Francis Esposito he finished fifth, stopping at the foot of the podium in the 36 kg after losing the bronze medal match, at the end of a test of character, which saw him win several matches, despite still being “lightweight” for his category.

Pasquale Romeo Unisport

Pasquale Romeo is victorious in the weight category at the 60 kg limit, thus redeeming his last performances

For Beginners B to record the success of Frederick DiGianni in the 55 kg category after winning four fights, all very demanding. To triumph in the 60 kg category is Pasquale Romeo, who redeems his last colorless performances with ippon. Beautiful test of her, against formidable opponents. In the 52 Kg, on the other hand, Sara Esposito she ranks second, losing only in the final to a more experienced opponent.
Thanks to all these results, including those of the Unisport judokas, the Piedmontese team climbs onto the top step of the podium, crowning the weekend in the best possible way.
But the commitments are not over yet for the Cavagnolese judokas, who see the little ones compete on Sunday in Turin and then the Boys category in a team competition in Recco. Then, after the expected passage of the belt, as last
there will be an appointment for many of them the summer internship at the sea.

A really rich season for these athletes, who practically never stopped. What counts, as reiterated several times, is to always participate. The results, after a lot of work, will come sooner or later.
