Pati, tvOnenews.com – Good news came from a badminton athlete from Blaru Village, Pati Kota District, Pati Regency, Central Java, Christian Adinata, who succeeded in presenting a gold medal in men’s singles badminton at the 2023 Sea Games.
This extraordinary achievement made the Adinata family proud. After successfully defeating Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo through a three game battle, an atmosphere of excitement filled the Christian Adinata family home in Pati, Central Java.
During the medal procession, Christian Adinata’s family also participated enthusiastically in the moment the red and white flag was raised from the television screen in their home.
Christian Adinata’s father, Dedy Gunawan, admitted that he had encouraged his son via WhatsApp short messages.
In a brief chat after that historic moment, Dedy expressed his pride in his second child.
“Very proud, happy that Christian was able to win the Sea Games gold medal. The hope is that after the Sea Games they can excel in the All England, Olympics, Asean Games and so on. Anyway, as long as we do our best for the nation and state of Indonesia, just do it, we don’t need to be afraid, keep moving forward and never give up,” said Dedy Gunawan, Wednesday (17/5/2023).
Dedy witnessed that Christian had grown a lot since he was seven years old by practicing diligently and always scoring victory after victory.
