And he added: “The departmental entity expressed its intention to provide assistance, which, due to the aforementioned, could not be achieved.” By law, the institute can only deliver resources to duly protocolized leagues, for which reason it invited them to be attentive to these procedures to avoid situations like the one experienced by this champion.
Despite this extra-sports situation, Gómez traveled with his own resources and managed to place himself on the top of the podium, thus confirming his good level. “The 15-year-old girl began her sports process in 2020 with the Colombia Talents program of the Ministry of Sports, led by coach Juan Manuel González in Quindío. In his short career, he has achieved fifth place at the Pan-American level and a Central American bronze medal with the Colombian team of the Advanced Development Program, PAD, of the national portfolio,” Indeportes reported.
The minor of the ‘Villa del Cacique’ is one of the great exponents of sports in Quindío and Colombia and she develops her work with discipline, since one of her great dreams is to be able to advance firmly in her career to one day be able to represent to Colombia, and therefore to the department of Quindío, in an Olympic Games.
