A few weeks ago there was also a lot to do about the alcohol addiction of general manager Vincent Mannaert. Bee Knack do they think they know that it is still possible that blue-black will soon kick him out.

“Club could say goodbye to Mannaert. His misconduct would be an argument for this,” said the magazine, which refers, among other things, to how the CEO made himself heard several times in the dressing room in a drunken state a few months ago.

Een aantal weken geleden was er namelijk ook heel wat te doen over de alcoholverslaving van algemeen manager Vincent Mannaert. Bij Knack menen ze te weten dat het nog steeds mogelijk is dat blauw-zwart hem binnenkort aan de deur gaat zetten.

“Club zou afscheid kunnen nemen van Mannaert. Zijn wangedrag zou daarvoor een argument zijn”, aldus het tijdschrift, dat onder meer verwijst naar hoe de CEO een aantal maanden geleden meermaals in beschonken toestand van zich heeft laten horen in de kleedkamer.

“Maar desondanks is niemand vergeten dat hij systematisch voor successen heeft gezorgd”, zijn ze ook lyrisch over de manager. “Bovendien mogen sommigen hem flink dankbaar zijn omdat hij vaak degene was die in de pers de klappen voor zijn club opving.”
