Ugo Humbert offers Stan Wawrinka and will find Richard Gasquet in the semi-final at the Bordeaux Challenger

The French Richard Gasquet and Ugo Humbert qualified Thursday for the semi-finals of the challenger tournament of Bordeaux-Primrose, on clay, where they will be opposed. The veteran Gasquet (36 years old, 44th player in the world), winner of the Girondin tournament in 2010, defeated Swedish Mikael Ymer in the quarter-finals in two sets 7-6 (5), 6-3 while Humbert (50th in ATP) got the better of Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka, seeded No. 2, 7-5, 6-1.

The other semi-final will oppose the German Jan-Lennard Struff, recent finalist of the Masters 1000 in Madrid and seeded No. 1, who blocked the way of the French Corentin Moutet in the quarter-finals (6-3, 6- 2) to the Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (61st in the world).

The ATP 175 tournament in Bordeaux-Primrose welcomed three former Grand Slam winners this year: Wawrinka, the Scotsman Andy Murray and the Austrian Dominic Thiem; the bottom two were eliminated in the round of 16.
