U.20 World Cup: Casadei, I sign mine in Cervia spalano – Calcio

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 22 – “Yesterday’s brace was a wonderful emotion, we are a good group, we can do great things”. Cesare Casadei was the star of Italy’s debut match at the Under 20 World Cup which is taking place in Argentina where the Azzurrini beat Brazil 3-2.

Born in 2003, Casadei has been a Chelsea player since last summer and played the second part of the season at Reading, in the English second division, but his thoughts now turn to his Emilia-Romagna region battered by last week’s flood.

“I’m from Cervia – he says on the phone with ANSA – my family is all there. They’re on the street to help. Only by staying united will we get out of it”.

Tomorrow Nunziata’s Azzurrini will face Nigeria: “They’re a very strong team – continues Casadei – we have to enter the field with the same spirit as the match against Brazil”.
