They burned a child alive for alleged envy

A tragic event has shocked Russia. An 11-year-old boy named Albert Umbetyarov, a judo star in his country, was burned alive inside a shed by other children, allegedly motivated by envy towards him.

According to police, the assailants doused the victim with gasoline before locking him in the shed and setting it on fire. The attack was carried out by children older than little Albert, in a forest in the Dubovaya Roschcha neighborhood of Moscow.

One witness, another younger child, described the horrific scene to the authorities, explaining that the assailants beat Albert with bats until he was nearly unconscious before locking him in the shed and setting it on fire.

A group of 6 and 7 year olds alerted several adults to what was happening. One of them found the scene, but was unable to do anything to save Albert.. Despite the efforts of several men with shovels to get through the flames and save the boy, it was too late.

The boy’s judo coach, Alexander Tvanba, has expressed his dismay at the tragic event, describing to Albert as an intelligent and peaceful young man who “would not offend a fly”.

The head of the committee in charge of the case, Alexander Bastrykin, has confirmed that the boy’s body was found inside the burnt-out shed. This heinous act has shocked the community and prompted the authorities to investigate the motives behind this horrific crime.
