Fans of the Ducs de Longueuil baseball team will be able to quench their thirst this summer by tasting beers in the colors of their favorite team, brewed by the Microbrasserie Charlevoix.

The president of the CA of the Dukes, Dominic Simard, did not hide his joy after the announcement of this collaboration on the team’s Facebook page. “We are the first LBJEQ team to have our beer!” he says proudly.

“We wanted to bring something new to the park this summer. Since people like microbrewery beers, we thought that such an association would be beneficial,” explains Mr. Simard.

Baseball and hop fans will therefore be able to taste a summer blonde from the first local game scheduled for June 24, which will be followed a little later in the season by a white one. “We wanted an easy-to-drink product that would appeal to everyone,” adds the president of the Dukes.

During the season, tastings of Microbrasserie Charlevoix products are scheduled on the calendar. The official launch will take place soon.

How much was ordered? On this, the president is discreet. “I don’t know if I want to tell you the number of crates, but know that we shouldn’t miss any!”

The beer of the Dukes will be available at certain local merchants such as the Boucherie Sévelin and the Metro Drouin grocery store.

The Ducs de Longueuil were founded in 1957. They are the oldest team in the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League.
