According to a statement from the French Tennis Federationthe tournament Roland-Garros will offer this year an overall endowment of 49.6 million euros, an increase of 12.3% compared to last year. For comparison, the prize money of Wimbledon 2022 was £40.350 million (about 46 million euros). In order to ensure a better distribution of winnings between the players, the organization of the tournament notably wished to significantly increase the prize money of the first rounds of the singles table and continue to increase the amount allocated to the qualifying events as well as to those of wheelchair tennis and quad. Earnings parity between men and women has been respected since 2007, and again this year.
