Tedesco wants to see fire red King Baudouin Stadium on debut on Belgian soil | Red Devils

On Saturday 17 June, Domenico Tedesco will make his debut in our country. Then the Red Devils play a European Championship qualifier against Austria.

The RBFA and Tedesco have now launched a call to transform the stadium into a red-hot arena on that day. The German hopes for a swirling and bright red King Baudouin Stadium to successfully continue his #WirSchaffenDas campaign.

“The RBFA provides a DJ and red placards, but counts on the supporters to complete the red party with scarves, sweaters, make-up, wigs and other attributes,” the football association said in a press release.

It is the next step in the association’s campaign to get more supporters behind the national team again. That project started before the European Championship qualifications and seems to be catching on.

There were 700 Belgian fans at the first European Championship qualifier in Sweden, a few days later 1,800 supporters made the trip to Cologne for a friendly match against Germany.

More than 35,000 tickets have already been sold for the match against Austria. Those fans will be able to make a stadium-sized tifo with red placards.

“We want to make the reception of Domenico Tedesco on Belgian soil unforgettable”, says the association and supporters club 1895.

Hopefully the spectacle in the stands will also result in fireworks between the lines. Austria is currently first in the group of the Red Devils with 6 out of 6. Belgium has 3 points, but also played only one match.
