Eintracht Frankfurt is planning the squad for the coming season and can possibly plan with a player who was actually already gone.

Frankfurt – The Bundesliga season is on its way to the finish line, with only one game left before many teams go on summer break. But not for Eintracht Frankfurt, for which a real highlight awaits, because at the beginning of June the SGE meets league rivals RB Leipzig in the DFB Cup final. The Adler supporters are looking forward to the game in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, but sports director Markus Krösche has to think about the next season and focus fully on the squad planning for 2023/24.

Eintracht Frankfurt loses Kamada on a free transfer

Daichi Kamada, who will not extend his expiring contract and is looking for a new challenge, will leave the club. The Japanese still has a big goal with Eintracht Frankfurt. “I experienced a lot of good things with Eintracht, both with the fans and with the team and I will do my best to end the season with a happy ending! Let’s win the DFB Cup,” he recently wrote on his Instagram channel.

Evan Ndicka will also go free of charge – at least that is the status of the past few weeks and months. The Frenchman had received an offer for a contract extension but didn’t sign it. Ndicka was repeatedly associated with top European clubs, most recently FC Barcelona had courted him intensively.

According to information from Kicker sports magazine but there should have been a surprising rethinking of the defense chief of the SGE. Apparently he can imagine staying on the Main, but nothing has been decided yet. After the cup final against RB Leipzig, there should be talks between the player side and the club to initiate a possible contract extension.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Rethinking at Ndicka?

Evan Nicka staying would be an important sign for Eintracht Frankfurt, because the Frenchman was often the rock in the surf in a not always solid defensive. After the departure of Martin Hinteregger, the 23-year-old had to grow into the role of defense chief and is now doing it better and better. Krösche could build a new defensive line around Ndicka in the summer.

The central defender came to Main in the summer of 2018 from the then French second division club AJ Auxerre. Eintracht Frankfurt paid a transfer fee of 5.5 million euros for the great talent. In the current season, the 23-year-old has made 42 competitive appearances, in which he scored two goals and set up another one. (smr)
