Paula, I was 28 years old and was stabbed to death at the hands of her partner last Wednesday. The events occurred around 11:30 a.m., in the house where they both lived, on San Ginés street in La Carihuela in Torremolinos.
The victim barely had time to ask for help, something that her neighbors will do for her this Thursday at a rally called in the municipality. According to Nacho Abad, the alleged murderer was detained by the police near the scene of the crime and explains that had two complaints from previous relationships for gender violence.
‘On everyone’s lips’ has gone to the scene of the events to speak with Rocío and Alberto, co-workers of the victim and the alleged murderer, who were also witnesses to what happened.
Rocío explains that it was she who raised the alarm: ”At around 11:30, I first entered the bar and heard a loud noise and Paula saying: ‘Help, help, help’. At that moment I ran out of the bar, went to my boss and told him that something was happening to Paula. He went up and started pounding on the door.”
Alberto is one of the people went to the victim’s home alerted by his partner: ”We went up to the first floor and told this man to please open the door, he with all his cold blood told us that it was just an argument, a fight between them and that nothing was happening. We began to ask about her, to ask her to speak and she never spoke again.”
The witness to the facts has recounted that when they went downstairs to look for the bunch of keys to open the door, the alleged murderer had already left the house and Rocío has confirmed that she herself saw him leave.
”So calm, as if he were taking a walk. My partner told me and I left the bar, I already saw him around the corner and he was walking so calmly, that’s when the police came,” explains Rocío about the attitude of the alleged murderer after committing the crime.
The victim’s partner explained that At no time did he think that something like this had happened: “When I saw him come down, I thought that he had beaten her and left her badly injured, but at no time did I think that he had killed her.”
Witnesses to what happened have assured that the alleged murderer told his co-workers one day that Paula did not go to work, that he had assaulted her. Besides, They have confirmed that they were no longer a couple because she had thrown him out of the house.
