Santa Cruz was present at the opening ceremony of the Patagonian Integration Games

This Thursday, at the Club Ferrocarril Patagonico gym, the second edition of the Patagonian Integration Games was inaugurated, in which the athletes from Santa Cruz joined their peers from the region.

More than 700 Patagonian athletes enjoyed an emotional act, where the rhythm of percussion and dance from the show “Muévete” filled the day with a festive spirit, combining different musical genres, such as urban music, hip hop, reggaeton, electronic music and percussion. African root.

As for the lighting of the Olympic flame, the moment was in charge of Julio César Calvo, ex-combatant from Malvinas and outstanding soccer player at the regional level.

Among the authorities present were the Secretary of State for Sport and Recreation, from the Ministry of Social Development of Santa Cruz, Martín López; the president of Chubut Sports, Gustavo Hernández; the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports of Puerto Madryn, Diego González; the president of the Patagonian Sports Entity, Diego Rosatti; and other sports authorities in the region.

It should be noted that this year the disciplines involved are table tennis, badminton, archery (these three are also sports for people with disabilities), Olympic lifting, Olympic wrestling, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics, tennis, and the recently incorporated climbing.
