Ravens: Lamar Jackson had offers, but didn’t want to leave Baltimore

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson revealed Thursday that other teams have contacted him in an attempt to sign him.

Jackson added that he was never interested in leaving Baltimore.

“I really didn’t care about the other teams,” Jackson said. I really wanted to come to an agreement here. I wanted to be here. The other teams are fine, but I want to be a Raven. »

“I really want to finish my career here and win a Super Bowl here,” Jackson added.

Negotiations between Jackson and the Ravens lasted for months before culminating in the most lucrative deal in NFL history: $260 million over five years, of which $185 million is guaranteed.

Jackson had previously indicated that he had requested a trade this year and rumors had it that he was looking for a fully guaranteed contract like Deshaun Watson’s with the Cleveland Browns.

Jackson was limited to 12 games by a knee injury last season. He had 2,242 passing yards and 17 passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 764 yards and three touchdowns.
