Popovich is expected to continue in charge of the Spurs

Gregg Popovich is expected to continue as Spurs coach at least until the next 2023-24 campaign, but the truth is that he has not yet officially discussed his future, reports the outlet. Yahoo! Sports.

His current contract ends next July and he has not yet agreed to a new commitment with the Texan franchise, although according to sources close to the situation, he will continue in office for as long as he wishes.

At the age of 74, he has completed 27 official seasons in charge of the Texans with a record of 1,366 wins and 761 losses, being 5 times NBA ring champion (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014), three times ‘Coach of the Year’ (2003, 2012 and 2014) and four times ‘All-Star Coach’ (2005, 2011, 2013 and 2016).

Recently the news broke that the Spurs took the next number 1 of the 2023 Draft, which everything points to the French pearl Victor Wembanyama as their next franchise player after the historic David Robinson and Tim Duncan.
