The Seattle Kraken took the lead again in the NHL playoff series against the Dallas Stars. National goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer was once again a safe support.

Seattle won the third game against the Dallas Stars on Sunday evening (May 7th, 2023) and is leading 2-1 in the semi-final series of the Western Conference. To advance to the Western Conference Finals, a team needs four wins in the best-of-seven series. The next game is also in Seattle. Like the rest of the playoffs, national keeper Grubauer played well again and parried 24 of the 26 shots on his goal.

The Kraken are only playing their second NHL season and are in the playoffs for the first time. In the first round, the team unexpectedly defeated the defending champion Colorado Avalanche. Should the Kraken prevail against Dallas and move into the finals of the Western Conference, it will either be against the Edmonton Oilers with national team player Leon Draisaitl or the Vegas Golden Knights. The series is 1-1 after two games.

Panthers still need a win to advance to the Eastern finals

In the Eastern Conference, the Florida Panthers just need one more win to get into the final series in the East. The Panthers drew 3-2 after overtime against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They have three wins after three games. The New Jersey Devils, meanwhile, avoided a 0-3 on wins and reduced to 1-2 with an 8-4 against the Carolina Hurricanes in this semifinal series.
