Pirlo was fired from his job as Fatih Karagümrük coach in the Süper Lig

Andrea Pirlo has been sacked as coach of Turkish Premier League club Fatih Karagümrük SK, the club announced on Wednesday.

The former coach of the Juventusaged 44, had signed a one-year contract with the team of Super League last summer, but will leave his post three games before the end of the season.

“Next season we will not be able to continue with Mr. Andrea Pirlo and his team, that’s why we have given them permission to leave quickly hoping that this will allow them to plan their future“, the club said in a statement.

Karagümrükwhich was promoted to the Turkish First Division in 2020, is 9th in the league standings and slightly disappointed in view of the expectations placed on the team. Pirlo had in particular under his command: Mbaye Diagne, Fabio Borini, Adem Ljajic or Sofiane Feghouli.
