“Mr. Nadal” – Roger Federer reports a curious mix-up

Roger Federer is one of the greatest legends in tennis. Nevertheless, the Swiss was confused with a colleague.

Roger Federer was apparently mistaken for Rafael Nadal by a fan. The former tennis player reported the strange mix-up in a question and answer session on Twitter. At a Formula 1 event, a fan approached him and asked him: “Mr. Nadal, may I take a picture with you?”

Federer then: “When I told him I wasn’t Nadal, he apologized and left without taking a picture.”

Even if they were often rivals on the tennis court, Federer and Nadal are friends. At the end of the Swiss career, his neighbor cried bitter tears. While Federer ended his career, Nadal is still playing, even if his active time is coming to an end. For example, he canceled the French Open for the first time.

Federer still encouraged the Nadal fans. In the question and answer session, the 41-year-old wrote: “I’m happy for him that he’s giving himself the time he needs to come back healthy and create a few more magical moments.”
