Marianne TombaughKershaw’s mother, passed away on Saturday, May 14.
Kershaw’s parents divorced when he was 10, and he was raised by his mother in suburban Dallas. his father, Christopher Kershawdied in 2013.
“Clayton grew up with a baseball in his hand, ready to play a game in a lot or field like this at any moment,” Ellen Kershaw said at the opening. “One person in particular nurtured that passion in Clayton, his loving mother Marianne, who moved mountains to get him to training and games. She would sit in the front row to encourage him not-so-subtly and take notes to control her nerves.

Ellen Kershaw added, “She had no greater joy than watching her son grow up to be the man, philanthropist, father and gamer that he is today.”
the manager Dave Roberts said on sunday that Kershaw will make his scheduled departure on Tuesday at home against Minnesota Twins. The leader also added that the pitcher will be able to take leave due to a duel after his opening.
“I’m sure it’s a sad day for him,” Roberts said on Mother’s Day. “When you’re dealing with the death of a relative, it’s the hardest thing there is.”
