María Eraunzetamurgil and Helena Pueyo finish the concentration of the National Team
María Eraunzetamurgil has suffered a muscle injury that will keep her away from the slopes for the next few days, while Helena Pueyo, as planned, has finished the concentration with the National Team after the incorporation of Laura Quevedo.
The two players have left the concentration of the Women’s National Team after two weeks in Vigo and before the team traveled to Córdoba, where they plan to arrive this afternoon.
The national coach, Miguel Méndez, wanted to thank his work and dedication during these days: “Due to an untimely injury, María Eraunzetamurgil will not be able to continue working with us to try to gain a place among the 12 players who will finally be in the Eurobasket. I wish him a lot of encouragement and a speedy recovery to develop next season at the highest possible level.”
Regarding Helena Pueyo, who has replaced Laura Quevedo while she was playing in the final phase of the French League, Méndez has indicated that “These days have helped us to closely control a player that in recent years we have not been able to have because she is playing in the US league, which is why she cannot be present in the November and February windows”.
“Both have been very good and have helped the group a lot. We are very happy with the work they have developed and we will surely count on them in future concentrations and future championships”.
