Karlík from Novosedlický on insult: The referee got what he deserved. I didn’t apologize

/INTERVIEW/ The match of the 26th round of the I. B class of the Ústí Region between the struggling Novosedlice and the leaders Strupčice did not finish, three minutes before the end it was ended at 3:4 by an attack on the head referee Miroslav Vlašič, which was committed by the home support Pavel Karlík. Two days after the incident, the veteran footballer agreed to an authorized interview in which he was not afraid to openly describe his feelings and thought processes.

According to the claims of the Novi Sad players, with which the guests from Strupčice also agree, the trio of judges did not handle the Saturday duel rudely. The home chalice of patience overflowed after, after a foul on Karlík, the referee Vlašič found the incriminated intervention and its consequences in the form of a bloody scar to be harmless. Karlík, a former player of Teplice or Ústí nad Labem, decided to punish the referee. He ripped the cards out of his hand, then dealt him several headbutts (according to the transcript, these were three blows to the back of the head). “He got what he deserved,” the almost 40-year-old footballer does not feel guilty.

From the Novi Sad side, it sounds like it was an “inclined plane”. It is said that the Strupčice players even knew the referee, they poked him. Did you notice from the beginning that something was wrong?
From the beginning, the match went in such a way that the guests thought that they would win 5:0. The referee did everything from the beginning to make it happen that way. The biggest friend was already in the cabins with all the guest players, so it was clear to me that something was wrong. But we played really well, leading 2-1 at half-time.

A former league player from Teplice in the I. B class insulted the referee, then chased him around the pitch

The referee was allegedly arrogant, for example when giving a red card to your player Janot for a shove with an opponent. Did that get you started?
As far as handing out cards goes, it was an absolute horror. Proof of this is the judging of a foul on Marko Vorl in the 55th minute. There was a very brutal tackle on him with a red card, but the referee didn’t even give a yellow card. If we don’t start arguing about the card, he won’t give it. Then he turned it into a complete stew. He gave the red card to our player, who was not there and continued to play normally. Then also a yellow, and even though he already had one, he continued the game. Terrible. Our player was caught by the neck and nothing. I think about mine.

Everything culminated after the intervention on you in the 87th minute. They say you had a torn ankle and a gash on your leg under it. You were showing your leg to the referee. How did he react?
During a kick-off in the goal, a guy ran over my calf and ankle from the side. The referee didn’t whistle it and even came to defend it to me. So I showed it to him, he laughed at me and said I had a good one. I had a gash from blood up to my ankle. So I told him if he was crazy. He started to draw the second yellow card, so I told him not to draw it. And you already know the rest from the recording…

The director of FK Teplice and head of OFS Teplice, Rudolf Řepka, congratulated Josef Topinka at Stínadly

I’m going to throw up right now! The oldest regional referee will whistle even after eighty

Did it blow your mind? Do you remember exactly what you did or did you have red eyes?
The soot didn’t hit me, I didn’t even have red in front of my eyes. The referee got what he deserved. The visitors defended him, unbelievable. One more note – the same trio then whistled the match between Jílové and Kadaň, and what they showed there was also terrible.

Did you then apologize to the judge?
I didn’t apologize to the referee. It was okay. He ran to the guests in the hut, they defended him. He was still laughing.

Why did the referee call the police?
The police were only called by the referees because they were afraid to get out of the booths. Probably rightly so, because they also promised people. The police laughed at the judges. We asked for a breathalyzer test, because we thought something was wrong from the beginning. But I don’t know if the police let them breathe.

Pavel Karlík

The winning streak has ended for Novosedlice. We play like children in the back, Karlík sighed

They say that Novosedlice is generally not very popular with the judges, because there are a few of you hot heads there… Do you feel that they don’t want you in the regional competition?
I don’t know, but it’s true that in the B class they trample us almost everywhere. Mainly at home, which is strange. But there are a few fools in every club, that’s normal.

What punishment do you expect?
I don’t care what punishment I get. I’m all over it, I played in Novosedlice just for fun. What is too much is too much. I wish they would summon me to a disciplinary hearing, that would be fun. I’m just sorry for the future that all the bastards can get away with it. Someone should do something about it. The players are punished, so should the referees. They deserve at least a year and a fine for this.
