At the OMR trade fair in Hamburg, the duel between HSV and St. Pauli entered the third round of the season on Wednesday afternoon. This time, however, not on the soccer field, but on the padel court!

Padel is a modern tennis variation. The game is played in a glass box, the walls can be used as tools.
In several rounds, the HSV-Professionals Sebastian Schonlau (28), Jonas Meffert (28), Daniel Heuer Fernandes (30) and Sonny Kittel (30) against a team of legends from St. Pauli. That consisted of the ex-professionals Ivan Klasnic (43) and Florian Lechner (42) and Hürzeler predecessor Timo Schultz (45). St. Pauli won the first laps, then the fun continued.
The trip to the fair was organized by Mittelfeldmann Kittel: “Padel is a really cool sport and it’s on the rise. I know one of the people in charge here and that’s how the contact came about. The other guys jumped in right away and I think they had fun too. But we still have to work on the level a bit.”
