Heat vs. Celtics, result and statistics of Game 3: Miami crushed Boston and was one step away from the Finals

The Miami Heat are one win away from returning to the NBA Finals for the sixth time in the past 13 seasons. And far from reaching that point with the suffering or drama expected in this third game, they did so with a landslide victoryIn front of a Boston unknown, listless and frankly, inside.

Spoelstra’s men overwhelmed Mazzulla’s men from the outset and dominated Game 3 from end to end: 128-102. And the difference could easily be much bigger. 3 to 0 categorical.

The defense again failed an extremely light Boston when it came to protecting the perimeter. Not only the penetrations of Jimmy Butler and the rest of the Miami figures complicated it, but there were even sections in which Duncan Robinson broke the defense on the perimeter and got points or assists as a penetrator.

Miami didn’t even need a big night of Jimmy Butler (16 points) or Bam Adebayo (13) to reach 128 points, since Boston’s defense was so weak that players like Gabe Vincent (29 points, all-time high of his career), Duncan Robinson (22 points) or Caleb Martin (18 points) were able to assume a leading role that they rarely do.

Miami launched a 57% fieldincluding a 19 of 35 on triples.

Of course on the other side the Celtics attack didn’t fare much better and if it weren’t for the 39 points they scored in a last quarter where everything was already sentenced, they could calmly stay at less than 90 points. To such an extent that none of his players went over 14 goals. Tatum and Brown? 14 and 12 respectively, with a 12 of 35 combined fielding. In debt, them and the team.
